the most essential would be almost all of namie's early albums i would say because i remember reading some where that she had sort revolutionized jpop from what to used to be what it is now, the it would be ayu's loveppears, duty, song for xx, then hikki's first love and mika's love album, m-flo's exp expo and planet shinning, Bonnie Pink's even so, present, heavens kitchen, BoA's Valenti and Love & honesty, i think everyone should have at least one album by these artists. i dont think it should be based on combined sales, because there could some really good albums out there dont sell well, in the music industry things dont usually sell well because its good, usually there some other factors thats are just stupid.
