they've definitely lost momentum with I Love You. And yup, the promotions were pretty short (I don't know if they cut them on purpose, but promotions for their other singles were definitely longer).
And that aside, YG coming out with that statement that the girls no longer wanted to do variety shows didn't help them I'm sure. They could have used those shows for extra promotion, and I'm sure a lot of those programs weren't too happy about that.

Yeah I haven't even played I Love You for like 2 months now haha. Without a follow-up single, the song is somewhat forgettable. I still love it, but I don't think it had the impact ability that I Am The Best did.
I mean luckily my Japanese artists have stuff going on to tide me over, but I was really looking forward to new stuff from 2NE1 cause I got really hyped up about them during I Love You and now I'm kind of disinterested in them (though I still love them a lot).
That'll probably change as soon as their next release happens, though.
