Man, I remember after (miss)understood I took my first break from Ayumi (she was the only artist I was listening to for years
) and I remember coming on here briefly and seeing she had a new album out so I downloaded it to hear it and I really wasn't that impressed with it. GUILTY threw me back to her, though and me being the collector that I am, of course I bought the album eventually (it's part of her collection!
). But even after a couple of more listens Secret just wouldn't grow on me.
I listened to all of Ayu's albums about 2 or 3 months back and I sat down to listen to Secret to see if my opinion might change and it didn't.
There's a few great songs in there; until that Day..., JEWEL, BLUE BIRD, Secret. The rest of it... I don't know. A lot of the material in it just doesn't have that... spark that I feel is present in alot of her other albums.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's any particular bad songs on the album, I just don't think Secret really clicked with me
