@isthisLOL
they have been going since (being popular) 2010... its been 2 years and it looks like its going to be another stellar year for them next.
Believe me I want them to go away (at least stop from selling the millions that they do). But, all im saying is that it works. AKB didnt just appear, they have been around for awhile and they will be around after all the mega selling. But they changed the way they did things, plastered themselves all over the place and BAMB they are not a hit making 48 little girl playing shove them in your face pop group.
But at the same time, I consider ayumi different... she really isn't your everyday pop idol person anymore. It's like Madonna, Elton John, and all those other greats. Their sales really aren't there anymore, but they can still do it because of who they are.
@Andrenekoi
if you just want to talk about this year, with even less promo, then sure, her sales still show that more hype, promo means more sales. Xillia 1 had more hype around it then Xillia 2. its all in correlation. Xillia 2 sold less and LOVE sold less... its didn't help that there wasnt much on it either.
And HBYR did rather well digital. You may not think so, but it did.
