You know... actually Sakura doroppusu was actually the very first "oriental" song from hikki. (Or that's the only one if you think Kairo doesn't sound "oriental"). Like I said I didn't like the song in the beginning because it sounded so not R&B at all. I was used to her R&B style from First Love to Distance. traveling and Hikari aren't really R&B but at least they sound modern, but Sakura sounded like a song for a 60's movie. (well actually Hikari sounds like something you'll sing on a grassland with lots of wild animals surrounding hikki

).
Of course, in the end I think Sakura doroppusu as one of the signature songs and DEEP RIVER as her best album (I think I should stop right here or else we'll start another best album debate again).

I agree. Exodus is totally a DEEP RIVER pt. 2 (music wise), except it's in English and it's more experimental than DR.
