I don't like either of the people you mention in your first post, so eh, I also don't like that 'idol rock' sound that FTIsland have, so I can't recommend anyone like that.
Maybe Neon Bunny? She's a solo artist, her first album was a great chilled out folky-pop album. Her second was a full on pop album, but it was better than anything 'idol' Kpop. She's pretty different to the run of the mill Kpop stuff.
