I thought she refers herself as the canary. Voice crushed to death could refer that she's been forced to sing/make songs again and again and even after doing that she's still forced to do it so she write that the canary chose not too and asks them to notice it. Idk it's just bits of my thoughts about it.

ever free's lyric are too personal, too much imo and it's beautifully sad and honest. While kanariya had those confusing lyric but when
kotora pointed out about her may hate the song it kinda make some sense for me. I still hope she performs kanariya someday while I get the reason why ever free will never be performed live.
