A part of me really wants to know more about Namie...but most of my mind actually just loves the fact that her career is all about her music and serious promotion. She sticks to her guns about her private life and still manages to be the top-selling female solo artist - for good reason. I love that Namie has her own style of self-promotion and how she shows her personality, and doesn't bow down to the pressure she must be getting to spill some gossip or do a 'tell-all' interview or something. When other artists have been more open with their private life on Twitter etc (Like Ayu), I've actually found myself losing interest...I'm not really sure why. At first it was exciting, but then I just started wishing that celebrities would start being a bit more refrained about sharing details..

..I feel sorry for celebrities, they really can't win. Anyway, tl;dr: I agree with you, Namie gives off the impression that she wants her music to represent herself and that's more than fine with me
