Men have this pressure too. Women are considered acceptable just by eating less and diet alone. Men must be particular about eats AND work extremely hard to achieve the desired body type! There's no way to compare how much pressure a woman and a man suffer to have a certain body tipe. Just watch any family centered sitcom on television and you will most likely see a lot of mid-aged fat men married to thin not-mid-aged-playing-mid-aged women.
Also, balanced diet + work out tends to be FAR healthier than starving to fit this or that size.
