I like that her father was that honest. He wasn't saying anything bad about his wife he just described the progress of her disease. I think it's important that people speak honestly about mental illness, 'cos one of the reasons a lot of people with mental illness don't search for help is the stigma that comes along with it. If people learn that a lot of people, even those they admired, have a mental illness it becomes more "normal". And those with a mental illness would be able to go to a doctor like they would with a broken leg.
After reading his entry I was really upset and asked myself how much Junko Utada must have suffered all the years, but I think I will (hopefully) never know that.
