I'm watching the set now too. Holy crap, everything is on point. Vocals, costumes, energy - everything. One of the best a-nation sets in years tbh. Gotta disagree with maikaru about the vocals here
INSPIRE was great. I loved the new dynamic and the slightly updated choreography for it. It's about time that there's some sort of a change to performances for this song. She's sounded pretty decent too. And daaaamn Ayu looks smokin' in that outfit.
Rule was alright. I liked how strong the performance felt. It didn't feel that much different from other Rule performances though there were some choreography changes which I appreciated. The transition from INSPIRE was a bit abrupt though.
Moments was really beautiful. Vocals are great, and the wings part was really well done. This is a great instance where the crazy amount of dancers worked to the performance's advantage. They provide a really beautiful backdrop while Ayu is singing. Really great. It's now one of my top 5 Ayu a-nation performances.
HANABI was just the standard sitting down performance. It was really great! Vocals were really great - very close to the 05 one. Better than last year's imo. It gets a bit scream-y at the second chorus, but it isn't very jarring since she quickly got back to singing beautifully by the last 2 choruses.
Boys & Girls was, well, Boys & Girls. Although, I agree with maikaru that the whole stadium was REALLY having a lot of fun here. The energy of the audience was great.
You & Me/July 1st is fun too. But that's pretty much it. Just in typical Ayu fashion. But again, the audience was really into it and it's great to see that.
Overall, I really enjoyed this year's a-nation a lot - fireworks included!
