OH goodness no. I couldn't afford to be a purist for the LONGEST time - my mom wasn't the type to spoil me with enough money for that, and then I was literally in poverty in the early years of my adulthood, after having my daughter. Most of my collection was either an OS press, or purchased used. Or both.
Now i have my career happening and I (just barely) have enough money to buy ayu's CDs new, usually getting the TeamAyu bonuses with them whenever possible. Even now, though, I buy used CDs to fill in gaps in my collection - old habits die hard, I guess
The collector in me actually really likes having OS versions of things, so I can really compare tiny differences. I have some OS ayu-mi-x II cds and some JP press, and yeah the paper is different, the printing is different. So I think that's really interesting
