I'm pretty disappointed with this album.
On first listening, it sounds like a huge wall of noise, which doesn't really make me want to go back and hear more. The Fame Monster had a much cleaner sound and Born This Way, though it also had some tracks I though needed some dialing back, also sounded much more pleasant to me. I don't really care about EDM or her collaborators and most of the new songs don't grab me at all. The one song I instantly fell for is Gypsy; can't not love a song with such a euphoric chorus! Applause and Do What U Want are also nice songs, but they don't do much for me. Maybe I'll warm up to some songs later, but so far, this album is a dud.
