Well, the song sounds pretty run-of-the-mill. Not great, not bad. Just somewhere in the middle. It would have been nice if she found a way to pick up from the sound of Tell All, which I thought promised a more interesting direction. I hope her next single has a lot more oomph.
I agree with the other posters. This one suffers because of the production. Again, it's catchy, but it seems to lack a certain depth in the instrumentation and melody departments. I think Ayu's more upbeat music is usually at its best with a lot of density. In the end, though, I am glad that this might be a sign that she'll be releasing singles again. Her music really improves in that release format.
Honestly, barely anything in music these days is drawing my interest (well, maybe Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Superfly). That's all right, I think. I don't constantly need new music, as older music is still perfectly serviceable and there's a lot to discover from the past.
