Japanese audience like love affair PVs (all these cellphone ballads) and if she is not using her real life BFs on the PV I don't see what's the problem or what scandal could come out of it.
The problem was she used her real life BFs in the PVs.
(btw someone mentioned she was not together with mannie when they met on the Virgin Road set, but that's when they started being together so it's the same).
