Of course it was too soon, ballads are made to close albums, not to open campaigns (usaully). Thankfully we had that epic performance at EMAs.
And yeah, sales are pretty solid for a non-japanese, but usually foreign artists have chart-life longer than japanese artists, mostly due to the way they release stuff (digital lead singles -> physical album -> digital promo singles). The only thing people can buy is the album ^^
