PRISM sales seems to be growing steadily, without the initial blast Born This Way had. Now, when a lot of people gather to buy an album the very first day doing the numbers Born This Way did, it may be more because of popularity than good music. But when the sales are just going fine, nothing outstanding, but not doing badly either, I think it just means people are liking the album, hearing others talk nicely about it and deciding to give it a try, and not regretting it, and in turn advicing it to their friends. She started with nice, but normal numbers and she seems to keep it that way. If America was so crazy about her I think they would have bought a lot more on her first week, like with Taylor Swift Red or Born This Way before.
But I think it's true she's definetely more famous now thanks to Teenager Dream. There's no way to see how her next album will go, though. I mean, who would have thought Beyoncé would have sold that much with a dropped bomb like her last album? It's impossible to predict these things. Gaga and Katy have a very different history, it's unlikely they're going down the same pattern.

I pretty much agree with everything you said and to add up, Katy is obviously the face of USA, people there love her and she is very carismatic with her audience, it's almost like Britney Spears 2.0 (before her colapse).
