And compilations usually are aimed for people who doesn't care enough about the artist to get the studio albums but care about the singles, so, if you already have all of those tracks, the thing is not made for you.

I know but it's the only chance to have an artist re-record an old song with new (often better) vocals. Best albums were a good thing in the 90's before CDs vere common, when you had half songs on one side of a tape and half on the other and you couldn't just play whatever you like without changung sides and fastforwarding, now everyone can make their own compilation so with each BEST I'm always hoping for something that's not already on my shelf or HDD.
