Dub mixes aren't always an exact replica if original track. They sometimes cut parts out or extended certain parts. Dubs are made to sound like a standalone track and not necessarily just an instrumental of the vocal version.
I suppose it had that Brute sound. Although I thought it was better than Brute.
Armin has an alter-ego/moniker, "Gaia" which he uses to produce harder-edged synth trance. Forum members mentioned it was more in that style and I agree. He went for a more hard-edged trance track with those prominent synth-stabs. Glad he took this route and didn't make a pop-style copout.
I can see armin dropping this dub mix a lot in his live sets. It sounds like it would translate well with his crowd. I'll have to go see him soon, it's been a while. I've seen him at least 6 times or so and hearing him drop a track which has ayus name attached to it would be epic.
