My first thought reading the lyrics was they may be about her experience with Manny. She was hit really hard by the entire experience, and this song deals a lot with memories and dreams of someone, and wanting to have had someone in a way she couldn't. The lyrics sound as if she's talking about how she's never really moved on from it, even though she may have found new love. Or maybe that she still wants him to be a big part of her life now? So, maybe this could be a throwback to her first marriage?
