The first few concerts I watched of ayu cdl 04-05, 05-06, AT05, I thought she was awesome for not lip-synching any song. So when I realised she does do it for energetic dancey upbeat songs (energize, some renditions of angel's song, beautiful fighters, greatful days etc) it was quite disappointing. Like I thought she would be 'different' but she wasn't. But I loved her enough by then to close an eye to it.

As for the Japanese I don't think they mind. Arashi seem to lip sync quite a few songs in their concerts and I'm never sure if the ***48 groups sing live yet they have legions of fans..
