IMO that was a great analysis of the CDL!
The flower thing on the cover, I always have to remind myself those aren't petals because there weren't petals falling during that performance, and your view on this really fits the overall concert feeling!
About the use of the cross on the logo... The way the "arms" of the A symbol is behind the cross makes me think that its carring the cross instead of crucified on it, and there's
this:

So, either being crucified or carring the cross, it's an interesting choice of symbol.
