I was originally going to post this as a "top ten favorite list" kind of thread, but I realized that some people may not have that many or may have more than that. Whatever the case, tell us which performances by Ayumi Hamasaki are your favorites! If you feel like it, you can explain why, but you don't have to...

-"And Then," and "Monochrome," Concert Tour 2000

"Starting Over," Countdown live 2000-2001: I chose this song, even if she doesn't sing in it. I think this performance the dancers bring is very intriguing and the overall feeling of the place is very dark. I get chills. The costumes are silly and everything looks a bit like outdated sci-fi clothing, but this opening just gets me.

"A Song for xx," "Never Ever,"
"Duty," "Prologue," and "Vogue," from Dome Tour 2001: This performance of ASFXX gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME. When I watch it with subs, I get so emotional. These lyrics ring true to me and I can feel the sincere intensity in her performance.

"I am..." 2002 Arena Tour performance: No words can quite express how cool I think this performance is. Her voice... HER VOICE. D: So striking and powerful from such a young, small lady. The break in the middle really bothers me though, when they start showing behind the scenes footage... it seems pretty darn out of place

"Connected" 2001-2002 Countdown Live: I like this performance for similar reasons as with Starting Over from CDL 2000-2001. The dancers, the stage, and Ayumi herself seem like from another world to me in this. There is something so dark, rich, and mysterious behind the whole performance. She herself sings so well and the lighting effects are really cool.

"Memorial Address," "Teddy Bear," from Arena Tour 2003-2004: This performance of Memorial Address felt way personal to me. This song holds a really, really special place in my heart. Her performance of it was perfect. I felt like she was singing what I wanted to say at the time.
-"Whatever," and "Key~ Eternal Tie ver." Countdown Live 2004-2005: this performance of Key is sooooooooooo heart-wrenching........ D:

"Heaven," "Because of You," and "Bold & Delicious" from Countdown Live 2005-2006: this performance of Heaven made it onto my list because she looks amazing with that hair (that is a legitimate reason, right?), her singing is great, and the fact that there's no one dancing... XD

-"Together When," and "Sotsugyou Shashin" from Countdown Live 2007
-"GREEN," "Will," "Real Me," "And Then," "Naturally," and "In the Corner" from Countdown Live 2008-2009
-"NEXT LEVEL" from Arena Tour 2009
-Another favorite of mine is her performance of
"Dearest" after winning the huuuge Japan music award.
And I will stop there because I'm not caught up with any of her recent live performances to be honest... XD
