I finally listened to Bon Voyage and I actually liked it. I have been a casual fan/listener for a while as I am still not a big fan of her singing voice (though her low notes are awesome). This album makes me think of being on my boat so I will have to play this the next time I am cruising around the waterways.
Ever since I first learned about Kuu, I have liked her photoshoots/visuals (when they are not so super sexualized) but I have had problems with her voice. I feel that when she sings higher, her voice gets shaky and almost squeaky when she forces a note. Her lower range singing has always impressed me. Part of my issue could be the genre she generally sings in which I feel is more hip-hop/R&B than straight up pop or rock (which she does great on!). Granted this is my opinion as I slowly listen through her entire discography. I will say that no one does attitude and approachable confidence better than her.
