I appreciate the soft, mellow and subtle enchantment of the Christmas season this piece is able to convey. It's extremely warm and has a silky smooth beauty to it.
Personally, I don't consider myself a Namie fan. I hate all the shit everyone else worships. But the songs I love by her, I truly do adore. This song excels at creating an environment, where as everything else she tends to release fails to transport me anywhere special.
Her milky vocals in White Light are also a bit reminiscent of "Come", which was the first track I ever heard by her. It was dreamy, velvety and remains unique amongst the rest of her otherwise mundane discography of empty copycat tracks.
