Fans of Hideaki Takizawa and Johnny’s Boys, mark your calendars for this August because Takizawa has announced that Takizawa Kabuki‘s first overseas performance will be right here in Singapore this August!!
Takizawa Kabuki is a stage extravaganza that first premièred in Japan in 2006. The play is directed by and stars Takizawa who is one half of the Japanese idol group Tackey & Tsubasa.
Takizawa announced in a press conference on 18 February that Takizawa Kabuki will be returning in 2015 to celebrate their 10th Anniversary and make its first foray overseas. Takizawa Kabuki 10th Anniversary will hold its first overseas performance at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 18 to 23 August.
“Takizawa Kabuki” is known for its high production values and combining traditional Japanese stage elements such as Kabuki and Taiko drums with modern stage and music elements to weave an epic tale. The production also often uses spectacular effects, dazzling costumes, a large cast, wire action and displays of physical prowess in their presentation.
The stage extravaganza usually boasts a line-up of well-known co-stars from Takizawa’s management company Johnny’s Entertainment. The co-stars for the Singapore leg of the performances have not been announced but Hey!Say!Jump’s Kota Yabu and Kis-my-Ft2’s Hiromitsu Kitayama have been confirmed for the Tokyo performances.
Takizawa said that this time, he would like to emphasise the theme of Japan’s four seasons. Hence, in addition to their speciality of using stunning costumes and breathtaking flying stunts, a snow machine will also be transported by ship to Singapore to create artificial show. There are also plans to incorporate at least one English song for the overseas performance.

Wow wonder if there's any chances other Johnny's will tag along with Tackey to S'pore ?
Then again unexpected for Tackey to be the 2nd Johnny's to be heading S'pore in the open , after ARASHI's Sakurai graced his presence in S'pore 2 years ago but it'll be a real treat !
Funny that Hey ! Say ! JUMP's Yabu is the tallest when he stands side by side Tackey & Kitayama LOL
