It also flows well lyrically - the intro ends with the line "You wanna know what I've been through" and then in Dance In The Rain she deals with loneliness and misery and how to make it through.
Well, it seems to end there lyrically and is just picked up again with WALK OF MY LIFE at the end.
But I guess that is what she aimed at.
Giving a thematically frame for a pretty much experimental sound for her, for something she wanted to do personally.
And that's why DITR and WOML are the promotional songs for the album.
Even though they don't represent the whole album very well in style, lol.
And btw. I really like the lyrics of Lippy, it totally grew on me as a song.
