OK, this is the abbreviated version of my post...the forums went down as I was replying before....

First of all, I wasn't comparing them to Ayu. I criticize her too...I think Rainbow & Memorial Address were very good j-pop albums, but VERY BAD ayu albums. It's not my fault you can't handle criticism for these two bands. And it's kind of arrogant of you to just assume I haven't listened to them.

I think the first half of 2003 was GREAT for ELT. I loved the Many Pieces album, but nothing since "fundamental love" has impressed me. And I still like their older songs, "Time Goes By" is one of my favorite songs by them.

As for DAI...I didn't like GoH at all. I love a lot of their older songs..."Bokuensha tachi," "We Are," "Summer Days," "Under the Sun," "Remember the Hill," "Faces," "Tooku Made," etc. I think these songs are SIGNIFICANTLY better than their recent music.

The majority of j-pop has gone downhill, not just these groups. All I was trying to point out is that ELT & DAI shouldn't be used to try to make Ayu look worse, because they're putting out sub-par releases, as well.
