Utada compared herself to Mariah Carey before so I'm guessing she's fine with being compared.
Namie being compared to Madonna can be taken as a compliment because I'm
guessing Madonna was super successful. But most of the media doesn't know
what the heck they are talking about and they just want be seem interesting.
So they just write whatever.
