what's up with comparisons again. pointless. Namie's career focused right now, she's doing much, okay, more than Ayu, let's be honest, and that's how she keeps herself relevant. doesn't matter if you like her music or not, she's still relevant. it means something, maybe, it means that she still does have a bunch of management grain in her brain or whatever.
Ayu is laid back, it doesn't make her less of singer/performer, it doesn't make her worse, or Namie worse, but she's laid back with her career and she uses little resources, plus she's conservative, quite, with her releases and music type. and it makes her appeal not-so-much to the young. she hardly even appears in mags, so she's simply not that relevant. her sales are still nice for her zero promotion, in my opinion, due to the huge fanbase.
