flumpool: 3000 fans in Taiwan delighted. “Next time I want to play two days”

Flumpool played a special concert called “FANRENPU 2015 Taipei YANCHANHUI flumpool Taiwan Special Live @ TICC” at Taipei, Taiwan’s International Convention Center.

This was flumpool’s third solo concert in Taiwan, following “experience Taiwan HATSUTAIKEN concert” in 2013 and “”MOMENT’ tour Sōngshān wén chuàng yuánqū yī hào cāngkù gōngyǎn” in 2014. Being that this will the band’s first hall show, they stepped up the scale to increase flumpool’s presence in Taiwan and Asia.

Flumpool opened with “HOSHI NI NEGAI WO”. 3000 spectators all cheered when they started the song off acoustically with Chinese lyrics. The setlist included their hits “HANA NI NARE” and “KIMI NI TODOKE”, as well as “TOARU HAJIMARI NO JOKEI ~Bookstore on the hill~” (released in May), “TSUYOKU HAKANAKU”, “NAZO” (Chinese version). They also covered Taiwanese artist Ling Chung’s big hit “Xiàng qián zǒu”. The performance united the hearts of the local fans, and several fans were even seen crying.

Vocalist Ryuta Yamamoto spoke in Chinese for the whole show and excited the fans. Ever since the band performed in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 2011, Yamamoto studied Chinese in order to “convey his feelings to the local fans in his own words.” Yamamoto even lived in Taiwan for two months to study, and the fans were impressed with his Chinese skills as a result. Yamamoto finally said, “Next time, I want to play two days at this venue! I will work even harder, so bring all of your friends!”

Flumpool will release their new single, “NATSUYO TOMENAIDE ~You’re Romantic~” (“SkyPa! 2015 J-League TV commercial song”), on August 5.
They will hold “flumpool MANATSU NO YAGAI LIVE 2015 “FOR ROOTS” ~Osaka Fields Forever~” on August 8 and 9 at Oizumi Ryokuchi in their hometown of Osaka.
