Did DAISHI DANCE really make all those songs?? I knew about I miss you and on re-listen, Nemurenu Yoru no Sei de and With U definitely sound like his products, but Emotion doesn't really sound much like DD (like, where's the piano??). If he did do Emotion, good for him, I love that song!
Anyway, I'm also disheartened about the general attitude towards him. I get that not everyone will like his style (and he has a very distinct style, all the more helpful in alienating people), but calling him a talentless one-trick pony is a bit too much. Many people seem to like Sayonara though, so maybe that song will change some attitudes (I wish I could be enthusiastic too, but I haven't liked his move to a more EDM direction too much, I prefer his traditional house style).
Another topic: can we discuss (again) how amazing NO FUTURE is? I've been listening to it almost every single day since A ONE came out, and I'm impressed every time. Never has her voice slayed me to this extent in a studio recording, she really gets to go OFF in this song! So much power, so much emotion, such a great melody and amazing song.
(Also, I know the dated 90s-synth arrangement bothers some people, but isn't it sort of thematically appropriate for a song called NO FUTURE? At least that's how it struck me.)
