I can't with this MY STORY blasphemy. She released PLENTY WORSE afterwards. Not all the songs on MY STORY are show-stealers, but none of them are terrible. That's more than I can say for practically every album that followed.

Also, HONEY is actually amazing. The arrangement is wicked fun, and her cute voice isn't nearly as annoying as when she tried to mimic it years later (Thank U and lives come to mind).

MY STORY has a bit of everything: elegance, attitude, heartache, loneliness, happiness, thankfulness, and bliss. It's also the only album that doesn't have the sound of district time period/era, giving it the illusion of sounding current 10+ years after its release. And you can fucking SWIM in the depth of those arrangements!! I don't have the energy to defend it as strongly as I used to, but I could drag y'all through the mud if I had to.

One negative thing I will say about it though: the interludes are overrated as fuck.
