Sorry for double posting, but I've been listening to some rarely-talked-about female artists today and really felt like sharing, so... please forgive me?
First off,
NakamuraEmi. (Yes, apparently she insists on spelling her stage name that way.) She's a singer-songwriter who's been around for some years already and released three volumes of NIPPONNO ONNAWO UTAU mini albums independently, and recently made her major debut with NIPPONNO ONNAWO UTAU BEST, which compiles together songs from her past mini albums and adds some new material. She does acoustic pop with her uninhibited, rap-influenced delivery giving her material a cool and unique edge. Check out some music videos:

Second: some people here listen to
haruka to miyuki, right? I feel like I've seen people talk about them. For those who haven't heard of them before: haruka to miyuki are an alternative rock duo consisting of (surprise surprise) Haruka (vocals and guitar) and Miyuki (keyboard and background vocals). They released their first mini album in 2012, got signed to Sony next year, and now have five mini albums, one full album, and a big bunch of digital singles under their belt. They make very emotional alt-rock music, and I feel like they're expanding their sound with every new release: their two mini albums from last year, Sekai and LIFE, especially contain some really varied and amazing songs. I really recommend checking those two mini albums (and everything else too, ofc) out, they are really good and only get better with time.
Also, since they are under Sony, only a few videos from their indies days can be found on Youtube because Sony is the worst. Good thing JPopsuki TV exists.
