I don't get the disappointment about it ? It's just a re-release nothing more ! I already own the original so I will pass that's all !

I agree. It hurt ayu at the time but the album went on to become one of the best selling Japanese albums of all time. It solidified her presence and mark in Japanese music and pop culture forever. She was devastated at the time that she wasn't able to control the release of the best album she always dreamed of, but since then I'm sure she's become proud of the release. I'm sure she even looks back at the rebellious nature of the cover with a sense of pride that her voice wasn't able to be totally quenched.
Also, even if the release at the time was against her wishes, it doesn't mean the content of A BEST is anything to be ashamed of. Those songs are the epitome of ayu's legacy and peak, and I'm sure she's proud of every single song on A BEST.
A BEST is an album I'm proud of as an ayu fan. Idk I could be wrong, but I can't see why she wouldn't be proud as well, despite the tough time the higher-ups gave her.
