I never knew how to take Shake Hip. It's ok. But it's very different from Be My Baby. Shake Hips chorus just kind of rolls in, but Be My Baby's explodes. The verses escalate, making you anticipate, and the climactic points always clear-cut. Shake Hip is cheeky, but Be My Baby is fierce, dramatic, and commanding.

Another thing I love in Be My Baby is how the slate is like wiped clean right before the bridge. It's as if a single hand motion snatches the sound, and throws it back down, causing it to kind of splash outward as a giant matter of sparkle and synthetic dust. It happens around 1:22, and it's my favorite part in the song. I think this technique is utilized throughout the song in various portions as well, but it takes center stage at this portion in the song.
