I bought a Von Dutch before it became really crazy, $42 for a pink/black one. Now there are so many bootlegs in NYC street vendors it really lowered the demand for them. I dunno about everyone else, but it's really easy to differentiate between a real VD and a fake. The pattern is different and the quality is def lower. I'd say at the moment, they're more or less passe but I still wear mine since it's so cute and dammit I paid for the goods!
