I can explain it: in Japanese word "
monster" refering not only to imaginary creature but also
something big/huge/important. If you refering to
person as "monster" it means "V.I.P" or "someone with influence" for ex. "monster artist" is translating as "huge artist" or "artist who has big influence (on market)". If you speak about
things than for ex. "monster hit" means "hit smashing music charts" or in case of "monster album" you translating it as "invincible album" or "crucial album". Make sense?
