I don't think we'll ever know for sure but I have a feeling he's working at a rather high paying position to have the connections to meet Ayu in the first place. Wasn't sure if he was still in classes but it looks like he's graduated sometime last year.
It's kind of nice though to be in the dark about most details about him. It was odd to know just about everything about Mannie and what they were doing together while they were a couple.
