I loved FEEL, but have been less enthusiastic _genic and subsequent singles which are just so devoid of personality to me. Everything is just over-produced now, and could literally be any club girl singing on them. I also wish she'd use more Japanese, though _genic does beat FEEL in that way.
Most of all, I just miss something with more attitude/edge. I feel like the gritty aspect of her music has been pretty lost. It has in her image, as well, with her having tattoos removed, etc.

Namie has a way of making the most generic style or genre of songs very fun to listen to. If Uncontrolled, FEEL, and _genic was released by any other artist it would be garbage that no one would bother with after a listen. So even if she never returns to the hip hop days, I will continue to find songs fun to listen to.
I do really miss her tattoo though. I understand that perhaps she moved on from that stage in her life of paying homage to her deceased mother, that perhaps she just didn't want to deal with covering it up for photoshoots anymore, and that tattoos in Japan are looked down upon, but thats part of what made her attitude. Its like "yeah I know tattoos are a no-no but IDGAF". And I do find tattoos on women incredibly sexy.

The lottery is over and tickets are sold out, they usually sell out quickly after they go on sale. Japanconcerttickets.com doesn't deal with Namie's digital concert tickets (or it could just be their BS excuse they told me because they weren't able to secure tickets before they sold out). Your only choice is to use ticketcamp.net to buy from individual resellers, but they are expensive. They ask for atleast double the original price of the tickets.
And that setlist is great, so so SO glad Love Story is back.
