Don't think so Aurore , SHINPEI probably uses purple multi grain rice
It might sound strange to you but it does exist . Also for rice balls , you normally don't put purple cabbage inside it
Rice balls is normally plain but sometimes stuff like tuna & all that are stuffed inside . That seldom happens for vegetables
