The Japanese Songstress, Ayumi Hamasaki, although her record sales have dropped nearly 50% compared to last year's ratings, but since her excellence in managing her boutique business, so she still earn a handsome income this year.
According to "Naitai Sports", her newly opened souvenir shop on last month, "ayupan Shop", which was situated at West Shinjuku, had more than 2000 customers daily.
The shop offers merchandise such as towels, stationary items and Q characters.
On the opening day, there were 300 customers stormed the place and sweeped off many items. The most welcomed item was the Q charaters modeled upon 2 of Ayumi's pet dogs. Although each one's price tag is 1280 yen, but flocking buyers made it frequently out of stock.
The singer even plans to open up chain stores.
Before Ayumi ventures into souvenir business line, her boutique, "Material Girl" which was situated at Shibuya's Lot 109 Complex has attracted thousands upon thousands of her fans and even ended up becoming one of the tourist attractions. It was estimated that both stores could bring another 1.2 billion yen income for her annually.
It looks like our ayu here will keep on earning money even after her retirement.
