I hear so much so common to J-Pop songs in the chord progression though. I don't see it as a rip-off. If you listen hard enough, you'll hear a similar song from MIKA NAKASHIMA, Kana Nishino, Namie Amuro, Ayu, Ai Otsuka, etc.
