POSITIVE ayu thread :D
Hey guys!
I've noticed a lot of negativity lately and I wanted to make a positive ayu thread, give you some good news and hopefully make the internet a little more cheery! (it deffo needs it! lol)
I've seen a few people say ayu isn't as popular with the Japanese anymore, so to test this whilst I was in Japan I asked a few (many!) locals. They all love her! The worst response I got was probably ''I don't listen to her much now but I used to like many of her songs'' which is fair enough as we all move on at some point.
I went to Shibuya in Tokyo to buy some ayu CDs to add to my collection [if you ever go to Tokyo and want CDs Shibuya is the place to go], I decided to ask the girl on the cash register (till) at Tower Records what she thought about ayu, she looked at my purchases which included 'LOVE again' and 'MADE IN JAPAN' and told me she was a big fan! She pointed to 'LOVE again' and said ''I love this album, I have all the versions, the covers are so pretty''. I was so pleased! She was quite enthusiastic about her!
The responses I got from other Japanese people I asked included ''I'm a huge fan'' and ''I will go and see her in concert later this year'' and even ''she is the most famous Japanese woman in the world''.
So combine these wonderful quotes with ayu's sales in Japan...where she is yet to have a studio album that isn't in the top 5 of the Oricon charts and it really makes all those lame internet rambling trolls' comments look pretty lame.
Remember after ayu's performance earlier this year wasn't well received, her fans even took to twitter and got #ThankYouAyumiHamasaki trending in support of her!
Whilst I was in Japan I also came across a copy of ViVi which ayu was on the cover of and looked especially beautiful <3.
Just thought I would share this as I am pretty pleased with it all, and I wish you all a great day and keep supporting ayu! xoxo
