That TIME's article is just plain out....cringe worthy at points. And it's true. As much as Utada has somewhat of a unique voice, she's far from performing pirotechniques with it and same goes for Namie, as much of a good dancer as she is, i've seen better. And that model thing bit? She was a style icon, that's a bit more than just looks, really.
I Honestly don't get WTF is up with japanese people and Ayu and why they have such a hate relationship with her.
