^Yeah, I can't imagine them moving forward long term without him. I'm curious to see the path they take.

I've had some days to think about it and whenever a new post or video comes up, it just makes me sad again. I think sometimes I look at my favorite artists as people I admire. Linkin Park. J. Cole. Ayumi. Utada. I admire their art and I also love being able to relate to their lyrics and while enjoying the sounds they create.

Chester and the rest of the band consistently created work that so many people, especially my peers in my generation could relate to. When I dealt with emotional times, I always knew I could go to them and even when I didn't like some of their recent releases as much, I enjoyed the lyrical content and took comfort in their continuing presence. It's just so sad to see that Chester didn't make it. And all of those songs that could be relatable and comforting are now just really painful to listen to in this new context.

I always want to see people overcome their mental health issues. It's really unfortunate when it doesn't happen. I thought about my experiences with my own and I want to cheer everyone else on, so it makes me sad when things don't work out. But it's always a reminder that the artists I admire are human and have many things going on. That's why I worry about ayu sometimes, when she doesn't get viewed as a person.

Anyway I didn't feel like posting this to Tumblr or anywhere else and I wanted to share my thoughts.
