The night was so still and I walked past a church nearby and outside it had the nativity scene set up and all these little Christmas lightup figures as decoration (the shape of two white deer made up entirely of lights, etc). It was so perfect, and the church has a huge bell tower and so it really fit perfectly given that the bells play a prominent role in the arrangement of Close to you. Before that I think I hated the song, lol.
Last year I listened to it on Christmas night after all the festivities died down. I was staying at my moms for Christmas and she just built like a log cabin home and there’s a little log guest house. I walked outside to settle down and stood outside the guest house and gazed at the house all lit up, the lights reflecting off the untouched snow. Christmas tree and lights visible through the windows. And the night was completely still. It was beautiful.

I love stories like that too! Isn't it awesome how music can really change the way we look at things?
I also personally love to listen to GREEN when Autumn begins. In my neighborhood, before the rain hits, there's leaves
everywhere and when I'm going out for my morning walk, crisp blue sky, leaves red, brown, gold, yellow, falling from the sky, with no one else around, the song is just perfect. Absolutely perfect for me. I always have to stop myself from trying to dance or sing along when that chorus hits. Honestly I love that song so much I would've bought the single (I don't buy singles. Just albums.) but it was coupled with Days.
I. Hate. Days.
