Kuu's take on ballads in recent years surprised me - in a good way. Overall I like her newer ballads much more than her old ones (e.g. I've never been such a big fan of hands, Ai no Uta and Yume no Uta to name three of her most popular). There are some gems in her past for me as well of course (like Unmei or Aishou or Anata dake ga).
W FACE inside has about the same amount of gems for me than her past though, lol. Which was the most surprising to me. I guess I prefer her more mature take now (in themes as well as in the way the ballads are built).
And maybe also because she's more controlled now with singing them. The last 2 years of vocal training she started with her 15th Anniversary definitely shows.
I also really like NEVER ENOUGH (apart from that mixing problem). From the atmosphere and the part of the lyrics I understand it reminds me of On my way. Just in a more positive manner.
The "Ikiru imi" part as a climax before the end gives me some chills.

Wanted to include some stuff from her FC.
Didn't expect somebody to reply so fast. xD
So, here the calender from playroom for December:
It's a pic they use for a current FC project.
Fans can send in ideas for tour goods and merchandise and others can vote for it. The most popular stuff will be made!
And here's a pic of Kuu supporting BACK-ON and her husband, who are celebrating their 15th Anniversary this year .
