That's really low for her, her last album easily sold over 100k.
Also Leo Ieiri's new album is only 6k first day as well.

Have to agree here...I was rooting for Leo Ieiri, and I thought this was doable. Pretty weak sales nonetheless...

Have to agree that as well, I think Leo might be underrated.

Anyways, if Johnny's, AKB and Sakamichi group are still the only ones that are relevant in the Oricon physical sales charts with six- or seven-figures and I'm supporting an artist whose first day album sales are in the four-figures, then what's the trend? Are we continuing the progress towards digital streaming, even though the Johnny's camp doesn't release their music digitally and AKB/Sakamichi put all those handshake ticket gimmicks?

I wouldn't complain that the Johnny's camp swept the single, album and DVD #1 rankings for the latest round, but it makes me wonder if digital services - downloads and streaming - are trying to disrupt the physical sales market...
