I wouldn't quite say that they finally found their own sound here -- I think they established their own sound right away on Mi and have now evolved it significantly in a new direction with Spotlight. But I do agree that they have gone quite a way in discovering what works for them: in hindsight, Mi seems to have a lot of throwing ideas at the record and seeing what sticks, while Spotlight is a much tighter package with a more self-assured sound.
I'm also still surprised at how good Spotlight is, it's such a strong album. Also, I love having it on CD, getting to hear it from speakers instead of headphones makes the whole listening experience different and fresh all over again.
